How can I get involved?
We are always looking for new people to help out in a variety of ways. We are always on the lookout for contributors, and anyone who has an interest in editing, illustrating, or offering any other help. Just drop us an email at tulpamagazine@gmail.com and we can talk about different ways you can be involved.
How do I submit my work?
First, look over our submission guidelines on our contribute page, and then email it to tulpamagazine@gmail.com once you feel it ticks the boxes needed.
Do you accept work that has been published previously?
Unfortunately, we do not for the most part. If you the work has only been published on your blog, that can be used but work published in a magazine cannot be accepted.
Is there anything you never accept?
We never accept libellous or defamatory pieces or pieces that show a prejudice such as sexism, racism, or homophobia, but other than those cases, we are very open.
How soon after submission will my piece be published?
It depends. If it’s a review, it will usually be put up the very next day. If it’s a less time-constrained piece, we’ll let you know via email. It will usually be up quite soon after submission.
Are you going to have a print magazine?
No. We are an online-only publication.
If my piece is not used, will I still get edits?
Yes. We aim to make sure that even if you don’t get your piece published with us, you’ll get some helpful feedback from our editors.
